On November 14, just one day after winning in the GSEA Competition, PAANI took first place in the Impact Prize Competition, a competition for social entrepreneurship! The prize is supported through generous gifts to Syracuse University Libraries from Gisela M. von Dran, director emerita of the School of Information Science’s MSLIS program, and Todd B. Rubin ’04, minister of evolution and president of The Republic of Tea. The goal of the competition is to think about societal issues and frame possible solutions that are feasible and implementable. Some of these challenges might relate to energy, the environment and sustainability, community revitalization, poverty and empowerment, arts, culture and education, or healthcare, nutrition and human services.
